Get serious about not wasting the gifts we have. Food: I am stocked up on Aid for Friends trays. There is no excuse for letting food go bad in my fridge when neighbors are hungry. Stuff: Use Freecycle to move things I’m not using to people who will be grateful. And clear out my “gift stash” of toys, hopefully for Three Kings Day, since we usually have clear present ideas for the kids we know. And Time: Spend more time with our mentee. Blessed & inspirational 2011 to all!

I resolve to intentionally mentor three  college students.  I used to get together with these guys more regularly, and have allowed my busy schedule to keep me from being involved in their lives more consistently.

I pledge to continue to finding ways to make an impact by channelling the power of for-profit entities through the purpose non-profit one. I pledge to find the proper internship this summer that will give me the tools I need to approach this goal. I pledge to continue to find solutions to a common problem in uncommon ways. I pledge to work for CSSP and work specifically with 6th- 8th grades to be that impact to someone, which inspired me to keep going when I was probably in the darkest moments of my life. I pledge to give back to the community that I am apart of in any and every way that I can. I pledge to let every idea, that wakes me up to write in my note pad at 5am, to run wild because one of those dreams of finding a way is bound to come true one day…
