To have positive thoughts most of the time. There is a story of a man who could bring rain to the village; just by focusing on himself and having a positive vibe and thoughts. I want to change my inner mind/heart/soul…and maybe that may change the outer world with others too.

I will complain less, appreciate more. Whine less, laugh more. Talk less, listen more. Want less, give more. Hate less, love more. Scold less, praise more. Fear less, hope more.

As an artist, I resolve to find more ways to use my work as a means of helping others–through donated classes, donated artwork, gifts, encouraging others in their work, and giving proceeds of my work to causes that can help. In my daily life, I resolve to work toward reducing waste and recycling as much as I can, and being alert for new opportunities to conserve. In getting along with others, I resolve to accept people as they come, not judging, remaining pleasant and holding my temper even when others do not, and to avoid or divert complaining conversations and gossiping.

I resolve to affect positive change in others’ lives by having a positive word in my heart when the negative is clamoring to get out.
